Speed networking with a twist
Bravo, Næringsforeningen i Drammensregionen – what a great initiative!
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending LINKUP, an event hosted by NFDR, designed to connect businesses across the Drammen region.
The format? Think speed dating, but for professionals. Around 40 participants from various chamber-affiliated companies came together, each bringing something unique to the table.
We were divided into small groups, with just 10 minutes to introduce ourselves and our businesses before rotating. A clever concept that kept the energy high and the conversations sharp.
To break the ice, each round kicked off with a personal topic – a smart way to build rapport and move beyond just business cards and elevator pitches.
Naturally, not every connection was directly relevant, and many came with a goal to sell – but that’s to be expected.
What stood out was the openness and warmth of the group. We exchanged ideas, contacts, and in many cases, saw potential as both provider and client. And perhaps most importantly – new friendships were formed.
Events like this remind me how powerful structured networking can be – not just for business development, but for strengthening our local ecosystem.
Looking forward to the next one!
